Inge H. Borg (Arkansas, USA (Geboren: Graz, Oesterreich), Free-Mitglied)
Inge sagt nichts dazu!

KHAMSIN, The Devil Wind of The Nile (Legends of the Winged Scarab - Book 1) - Kindle EditionVerlag: CreateSpace (Amazon.com) - 2012

460 Seiten, Preis: 40.83 EUR

Kurzbeschreibung:
"Rih al-Khamsin!" It was an eerie howl rather than a cry. It multiplied and it traveled fast.
This historical novel is an engrossing saga of court intrigue, forbidden love, and ferocious battles playing out in the colorful settings along the Nile during the reign of Aha, Second King of the First Dynasty of Egypt (ca. 3080 B.C.). Many compelling characters enliven KHAMSIN.
The briskly-paced action evokes a tumultuous epoch. Coming alive in this multi-faceted epic are many characters ranging from fascinating to likable, from ambitious to suspicious, to plain unsavory. The eloquent narrative is divided into five major parts, with forty-three chapters, a poignant prologue, and a thought-provoking epilogue.
Meticulous research of ancient sites and the way of life of those enigmatic Nile dwellers lends authenticity to this pre-Pyramid, pre-Pharaoh era of the Two Lands.

Kurzbeschreibung:
After the Cataclysm, Book 3 of the Author's historical fiction series "Legends of the Winged Scarab," is a dystopian thriller that combines modern adventures with the mystery of Ancient Egypt as told in Khamsin, The Devil Wind of the Nile, Book 1. Book 2 is Sirocco, Storm over Land and Sea, a thriller with tie-ins to both novels. However, each volume stands alone.
Yellowstone Super-Volcano explodes. The novel plunges straight into a desperate post-apocalyptic world where a ghost ship, the abandoned real Lyubov Orlova becomes a floating battleground for the protagonists from Sirocco.
Egyptologist Naunet Wilkins and her scientist husband Jonathan flee their lawless homeland, accepting an uneasy offer from Dr. Jabari El-Masri, a former Egyptian powerhouse, and now a fugitive from his own country. He was given refuge on Venezuela's Isla Margarita, owned by the fanatic art collector Lorenzo Dominguez. Did El-Masri barter the ancient Golden Tablets and the expertise of his American friends for his own exile?
Once again, Naunet is torn between translating the ancient curses for the ruthless South American billionaire, and saving her future world from the dire prophecies.
As another ill-wind blows, will she find her answer?

Pasha, From Animal Shelter to A Sheltered Life - Kindle EditionVerlag: CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform - 2012
ISBN: 978-148026290
132 Seiten, Preis: 3.09 EUR
Erhältlich bei:

Kurzbeschreibung:
When the flaming-orange tom was brought to the local animal shelter, he was messy. And he stank. That darn cat never took his eyes off me. They were not quite green and not quite yellow; they were round, and alert, and reflected light like precious stones set in orange gold. "Don't even think about it,' I told him. I already had two cats.
This is Pasha's story. It is also the story of many shelter kittens this "mellow fellow' helped me raise; as well as an account of some of the wonderful cats and dogs cared for at our shelter before they got their forever-homes.
A few of the chapters may be sad. Most are heart-warming and happy. All are sure to entertain. And you don't have to own a pet to enjoy them.

Edward, Con Extraordinaire - Kindle EditionVerlag: CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform - 2013
ISBN: 978-148100676
68 Seiten, Preis: 1.86 EUR

Kurzbeschreibung:
Edward is, oh, so very British; a dreamboat of a man, especially to the well-to-do middle-aged ladies he courts. He makes their fantasies come true. Their gifts are bestowed upon him freely as they blush from brow to breast.
Unbeknownst to them, however, the dapper Edward has his own dreams full of deceit and mystery. And still, they believe this conman's stories, and willingly support him.
Take Betsy, for instance. After sipping a bit more of her heady Chardonnay, the smitten Mrs. Bunting hits upon a brilliant idea. Would he take her ill husband's place on a prepaid Egypt tour? In a strictly platonic sense, of course. That week, the dapper Edward Esquire, reads several guide-books on Egypt (since he told Betsy that he is familiar with Cairo). Then he buys himself a pith helmet.
Somehow, Edward has weaseled his way into Borg's "Legends of the Winged Scarab" series, where he appears no longer quite as charming. He also has a cameo appearance in Shadow Love, Borg's contemporary fiction novella. This is one bad boy.
